The best show on TV may get the axe.
I haven't posted much lately as I've been finishing up projects in order to make more time to spend with Silverlight 2.0 beta when it comes out next year.
This post is just to express my disappointment in NBC not picking up Journeyman. The show, which deals mainly with time travel (in the past for the main character and in the future for his ex-fiance) is by far the best show I've seen since probably The Pretender and has more potential than The Pretender ever had. I'm a huge fan of Numb3rs also and Journeyman hands-down blows even that show away.
The first 30 minutes of the pilot episode seems to have sealed the shows fate. It was a bit dry but the last 10 minutes of the pilot got me hooked. I just love how the show ends and I can spend my spare time thinking about all the possibilities. I'm also intriuged by the way they really cut down on lameness. The writers actually let people into the secret/mystery without ending each episode with them getting amnesia (Smallville has punched that ticket so many times and has lost all my respect), or knocked out, or really anything lame like that.
Looks like the Sci-Fi channel is picking up syndication so who knows, maybe with another go around there will a broadcaster out there willing to pick up production. If not...then all I can say is thanks to all those involved with the show for bringing us some really great and original programming!
